This week's Artist of the week is Tony Broadbent. Tony Broadbent is a Contemporary Artist who paints mainly abstract, figurative and traditional art in all media. Tony's work is best displayed on plain colour large expanse walls and is suitable for both minimalist and featured positioning. Highly collectible, his work has been recognised as a departure from the mundane.
I have known Tony for a number of years now, and watched as his art has developed through various stages.....but I have to say that despite the many works of his that I like ..... but I always keep coming back to this one. It's called October 2003. To me, there's something in the painting which draws you in......definately one of my favourites.

Hi, you know as an artist that there is always one or two paintings that stand out for you, they have a resonance with you personally, they somehow reflect the amount of - dare we say ' love' or ' self' that we put into a piece of work, perhaps even a snippet of the soul but I expect all that is just too romantic or ecsoteric for some. this one I have never 'pushed' to sell, it's still on my wall at home in the living room.
ReplyDeletebest wishes Tony :)
